Senior Systems Engineer
2001 - Current
Engineered, implemented, and administered
backbone systems supporting the Automated Fare Collection Services (AFC), and
Customer
Service
Centers
for all projects located in the
Americas
, and selected European Markets. Consistent focus on service integration for maximum
efficiency and security. Industry compliance and vulnerability management critical
to the future and ongoing operations.
Accomplishments:
·
Engineered and implemented Microsoft backbone and other supporting
infrastructure technology for US $85 Million Seattle Project, the project consists
of complex portals to CRM, and AFC systems for public facing real time access to
customer data, as well as internal operator functionality for financials, and reporting
requirements through the integration of well established technologies with proprietary
software developed in house. The system can support over 400,000 individual cards
/ customers, and 130 million passenger transactions annually.
·
Established critical engineering design for
Customer
Service
Center
project deployments where remote CRM technologies were required, these designs were
later utilized as the deployment guide at Centers in both
Washington
DC
, and
Boston
metropolitan projects. The systems implemented are currently supporting in excess
of 1 million patrons, and 21,000 customer calls monthly.
·
Successful design and leadership in the build out of new disaster
recovery Concord data center, focusing on scalability, and resource optimization
such as rack space, power and cooling relying on Blade center hardware introduction,
and virtualization of major test, and integration lab functions. New data center
can now support over 5 times its previous maximum capacity. As the central business
continuity piece in all of
Americas
projects allowed ERG to further its position as the market leader on reliable AFC
Systems.
·
Successful seamless upgrade of large, and complex Windows
NT domain and workgroup environment to state of the art Windows Server 2003 domain
infrastructure in flagship US TransLink® US $165 million project, furthering the
effectiveness of the AFC services supported by these systems, allowing the project
to meet stringent contractual requirements, and advance to latest production stages.
